Donald M. Hooton

Don Hooton is a partner in the firm of Hooton Wold & Okrent, LLP, where he concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation and appeals. He received his B.B. degree from Reed College in Portland and his J.D. from the University of Iowa. Don has lectured paralegals on workers’ compensation. He is a past Board Member of the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board.
Constance L. Wold

Connie Wold is also a partner in the firm of Hooton Wold & Okrent, LLP, where she concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation. She received her B.S. degree from Western Oregon State College in 1979 and her J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College in 1985. Connie started her legal career working in-house for Wausau Insurance Company, and later Nationwide Insurance Company, handling entirely workers’ compensation claims and premium audit proceedings. She worked several years as an associate in the workers’ compensation firms of Sather, Byerly & Holloway, LLP, and Willner and Hooton, in Portland.
William D. Okrent

Bill Okrent is the third partner in Hooton Wold & Okrent, LLP, where he concentrates his practice in civil litigation, and workers’ compensation. He received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1973 and his J.D. degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1977. While in law school, Bill received American Jurisprudence Awards in contracts and civil procedure for obtaining the highest grades in his classes. He served as an associate editor of the Oregon Law Review. After graduation, Bill established his own firm in Sisters, Oregon. He was appointed Municipal Judge for the City of Sisters, and also served as the Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee on the Comprehensive Plan. Bill practiced several years in central and eastern Oregon, handling a wide variety of civil and criminal cases, as well as business and real estate transactions and family law matters. Thereafter, Bill worked 17 years as an insurance defense attorney, including 5 years as a partner in the firm of Acker · Okrent. During those years, Bill handled hundreds of cases involving product injuries, automobile accidents, medical and legal malpractice, business litigation and employment disputes. Bill had tried wrongful death cases, asbestos injury claims, medical malpractice, automobile accident and insurance coverage cases. Bill has also argued cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit.
